Chris Hoffman

Partner

Chris Hoffman, the son and partner of HSSH founding attorney, Tim Hoffman grew up working in the firm. Before getting his law degree, Chris worked at HSSH as a runner, receptionist, secretary, paralegal, and IT administrator. In 1994, Chris graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree and made the decision to apply to law school. Chris graduated from UT with honors in 1997.

Before coming back to practice at HSSH, Chris worked for the Texas Department of Insurance prosecuting insurance companies which violated state insurance laws. In 1999 Chris moved to Amarillo to work as an attorney with HSSH. Within two months of joining the firm, Chris assisted in a medical malpractice trial which resulted in a $5,900,000 verdict for our client. Chris was named as a partner in the firm in 2002. His entire practice is devoted to personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Chris is actively involved in several professional associations. He is the former President of the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association and is a Board Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Chris is also a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and belongs to the Auto/Truck Injury and Medical Malpractice practice groups. Chris is a frequent contributor to four litigation forums where injury attorneys exchange ideas and assist one another.

Chris was included in the list of Texas Rising Stars for 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011 which is published in the July issue of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Rising Stars magazine. Selection is the result of polling all lawyers selected in the Texas Super Lawyers for 2006 to identify the up-and-coming attorneys in Texas who are 40 years or younger. Only the top 2.5% of Texas lawyers receive this distinction.

In 2010, Chris was licensed to practice law by the State of Colorado. Chris expanded our personal injury practice by opening an office in Denver, Colorado where he now lives with his wife and two boys. Chris represents clients in both Texas and Colorado who are injured or killed by the irresponsible conduct of others.
